There are many ways in which you can get involved
Craft As a team of 2 ensure all the ready prepared crafts are available for the children to use, Help the children where necessary and engage in conversation with the adults around the table. Clear up at the end.
Sports As a team set up and bring back the equipment needed for the days sport. Supervise the team and parachute games. Where needed organise a game.
Overnight Security Working alongside contracted security, to stay in the marquee overnight, (times to be confirmed). Ensuring the area is manned at all times.
Car parking Being away from the main Spark area for the duration of the event, direct visitors to the designated car park, ensuring safe parking conditions, issuing opening and closing times on entry.
Tuck shop Serve customers with food and drinks, setting up and clearing away. Making drinks for helpers.
Face painting Paint children’s face and arms as requested.
Inflatables As a team, keep the number of children on equipment to the safe amount. Ensure the equipment is being used safely.
General helpers Ensuring all volunteers are supported and able to do the tasks above by being a person to call on to cover as needed.
Set up and Pack away help move the equipment to and from the storage places at the beginning and at the end of the event.
Help your church have a stall to advertise the activities that your church offers the community. Even though this event is aimed at children the whole family is involved. So any activities from mother and Toddlers to the Senior Fellowship can be shown.
As this event is to show Jesus' love to Coventry, only applications from volunteers who regularly attend church will be considered.
